Operand is a YC W25 company building AI to take on the work companies usually pay consulting firms like McKinsey for. In October 2025 they announced their seed round with a founder-led video.
The claim was bold, and the brand was barely there yet: black and white, no logo, no font. The founder wanted it to land with New York finance, a crowd that has heard every startup promise before.
So the job was to make a bold claim feel earned.
We let type carry the argument, so the claims read even with the sound off.
It opens on Operand's own YC launch post, so the boldest line arrives with public proof behind it.
When a late benchmark chart came in, we turned it into a comparison anyone could read at a glance.
The video went out with Operand's seed announcement in October.
