FAQs

Frequently asked questions, answered

What is a launch video?

A video made for a moment the company wants everyone to see at once: a product launch, a new feature, a fundraise, a conference keynote, a rebrand, even an anniversary. It carries the announcement across X, LinkedIn, YouTube and the launch page, then lives on in cutdowns. If you have something to announce, this is the format.

Launch video vs explainer video?

An explainer earns its keep slowly, sitting on a homepage answering the same question for a year. A launch video spends everything on one day and then lives on in cutdowns. We make the second kind.

How much do launch video agencies charge?

A freelance motion designer usually runs $2,000 to $6,000 and gives you animation only. A full production house runs $40,000 to $150,000 and gives you a crew. We sit between the two, at $8,000 to $15,000 for most launches.

How much does a launch video cost?

$8,000 to $15,000 covers most of what we make. Four things move it: whether we shoot, whether there is 3D, how many cuts you need, and how much brand has to be settled before anyone animates. Every project is quoted on its own, never off a rate card.

How long does a launch video take?

Two to four weeks covers most launches, filming included. Drop the shoot, start from a brand that is already settled, and it can be 10 working days with the cutdowns. Come to us 4 to 8 weeks out and none of it is tight.

Do you film or animate?

Whichever the launch needs, usually both. Script, direction, storyboards, 2D and sound come with every project. A shoot and 3D are priced on top, because plenty of launches are stronger without either.

We do not have a brand yet. Is that a problem?

It is the usual starting point. Most companies arrive with a logo and little else, so settling how the brand looks and moves is the first week of the work rather than a blocker. You keep what we build.

Can you work with a US team from Europe?

It is most of what we do. We hold EST-friendly hours for calls and reviews, and we film in the US when a launch calls for a crew. Everything else runs remotely, which is how the 2 to 4 weeks stays achievable.

What do we need to have ready to start?

Three things: the date, a clear sense of what is shipping, and whatever brand files exist. A rough script helps but is not needed, and no one has to write a brief.
